On the Shores of Downtown Toronto

This is my 9th installment of Babywearing Stories 365. Each installment features a babywearer in 1 photograph and their answers to 5 questions. My goal is to normalize, promote and celebrate daily Babywearing, moving beyond *what* we use to carry our babies and shifting focus back on *why* and *where* we carry. I hope to share the stories of moms, dads, and babywearing caregivers all over the world. Enjoy!

Babywearing Story 9/365

Who: I’m a 28 year old mom of two adorable very busy little boys. Little one is about 7 months in the picture, and my older son is almost 3. That’s my husband behind the camera 🙂 he enjoys babywearing also, but usually he ends up carrying the older one when he gets tired (we have not used a stroller with him for over a year now), so normally I wear the little one.

The picture was taken in downtown Toronto, at the shore. Just one of many walks we take together.

That particular carrier is wrap conversion mei tai (a mei tai made from a wrap).

I love babywearing because it’s convenient and because both me and my little one like being close to each other. Well, also because little one hates the stroller as well as a carseat (but who can blame him?). When he’s worn he’s just contently looking around, bubbling and once he’s tired he snoozes off.
